Weddings
Congratulations on your forthcoming marriage!
The Rector and people of Graffoe Parish Churches would like to congratulate you on your forthcoming marriage and invite you to consider one of our six beautiful churches to make your special day the best it possibly can be.
Why get married in Church?
Choosing to get married in church not only gives you a fantastic setting to make your lifelong promises to each other but adds a spiritual dimension to your marriage and becomes a place where you can return at other special times in your lives to remember the day you 'tied the knot'. A church ceremony includes God and looks to him for help and guidance as you set out on the next chapter of your lives together. God’s blessing upon marriage is the main attraction to getting married in church for many couples, whatever their beliefs.
The vows and promises that two people make when they get married are solemn and lifelong, the importance of which is recognised and felt when held within a ceremony in which those promises are made, not only publically, but before God. Marriage vows made in this way will help you to stay together and grow together. God and your church are there to care for you and support you throughout your lives together, through all the ups and downs, helping you to keep your vows.
A wedding is a very special day in every couple’s life and it is our privilege that so many couples choose to marry in one of our six churches. Graffoe Parish want to help to make your wedding day extra special in any way that we can and hope that your church wedding will leave you with memories that you will cherish forever.
